Guy Wants Dog To Co-Parent Cat’s Babies But It Can Go Horribly Wrong

While it can take time to earn a cat’s trust, many felines will warm up to humans and other animals rather quickly. Cats are beautiful and loyal companions eager to give and receive love. It is no wonder so many of us are owned by a cat! They truly are special! If you encounter a person who is not a fan of cats, share this delightful story and video. We truly believe they will be converted instantly! In this heartwarming tale, a mother cat gave birth to a litter of beautiful, healthy kittens. She is a member of a wonderful household that not only accepts her but accepts her babies like they’re an intricate part of the family.

A Golden Retriever is also a beloved family member and trusted companion in the home. He may not have given birth to the kittens himself, but he is eager to be a part of their upbringing. Of course, he first has to be carefully introduced to the babies. The dog, desperately wanting to say hello, lingers outside the bedroom door. Dad opens the door and Mom soon arrives to carefully supervise both the cat and dog as the pup walks into the room. The introductions can go either way; the dog can be indifferent or even put off, and the cat could hiss and protectively hide her babies. But what actually unfolds is pure magic!

The canine places his head on the bed and sniffs the tiny babies. The cat does not approach him with aggression. In fact, she gives the dog space so he can acclimate himself to the new situation. The trust the cat has in her doggy brother is unbelievable! She’s confident that he won’t harm her new kittens.

Their parents allow the dog to climb onto the bed and lay beside the cat family. What follows is simply precious! The mama cat comes closer to her canine brother, bringing her kittens with her. She then snuggles into the dog, showing her deep love and acceptance.

The cat has no doubt that the Golden Retriever will make an excellent surrogate dad to her babies. As they lay side by side, the kittens nurse on their cat mama. The entire scene proves that cats can form lasting bonds with other animals and that their love is as deep as the ocean.
